An apostille from India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) validates your birth certificate for use in any Hague Convention country.
VerifiedApostille assists Indians living abroad, NRIs, and international clients to complete this process quickly and securely.
Regular Apostille vs e-Apostille (QR)
Both apostille types are physically stamped on your document — the e-Apostille (QR) additionally includes a QR code and unique ID you can verify online. See: How e-Apostille (QR) and e-Sanad verification work.
Fee Structure
- India — ₹1,450 per document
Includes Notary + SDM (Delhi) attestation + MEA apostille + return delivery (India). - International (USD) — $30 per document
Includes MEA apostille handling fee only. Notary, SDM (Delhi) attestation, and delivery are quoted separately for international orders. - 5-10% discount for multiple documents.
- State route (Home Department) available on request if required by destination.
Add-ons (if needed):
- State Home Department attestation

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to send my original birth certificate?
Not always. You can choose apostille on the original or on a notarized copy. In rare cases, we may verify the copy using the original before proceeding.
Is notarization required for birth certificates?
Municipal originals generally don’t need notarization. It’s only needed if you use a copy or if we attach an affidavit for name/date corrections.
Can parents apply for a child’s birth certificate apostille from abroad?
Yes. Parents or guardians can apply on behalf of a child using ID proofs and a short authorization letter — we’ll provide the format.
How long does it take to apostille a birth certificate?
Usually 2-3 working days once documents are in process. State route or reissue cases may take slightly longer, and we confirm your exact ETA in advance.
Can you deliver my apostilled document abroad?
Yes, we safely deliver your completed apostille documents anywhere in the world via DHL, Blue Dart, or other standard international couriers.
How much does it cost for a birth certificate apostille?
In India, our standard SDM bundle for most birth-certificate cases is ₹1,450 per document — includes Notary + SDM (Delhi) attestation + MEA apostille + return delivery (India). For international/NRI clients, the flat $30 rate covers MEA apostille handling fee only. Notary, SDM (Delhi) attestation, and delivery are quoted separately for international orders. Multi-document discounts apply automatically. All prices shown are inclusive of GST.
What if the birth certificate has no father's name, or is a late-registration certificate?
Both are common and usually still eligible. A missing father's name or a late-registration entry doesn't block apostille — MEA works from what the municipal record shows. If your destination specifically requires the father's name, we may suggest an affidavit or Gazette correction first; we'll flag this after reviewing your scan.
Customer Reviews
I am happy to provide feedback here. Your apostille services were fast, efficient, and convenient. I researched over a dozen different services and ran into all kinds of different roadblocks - this was the only service that worked. We did run into a glitch, but it was promptly acknowledged and corrected. I'd give this service a 5/5 rating. My Indian birth certificate (1963) was apostilled on April 8, 2026 and delivered internationally via DHL.
